Friday Night - Main Stage Bands
Smokin'
Smokin’

In 2001 Smokin' made their Woolley Festival debut and the following year they headlined on the Friday night to a great reception. Some might say it was the best gig they ever played.

Over the following few years, two singers and three Bassists later, Smokin' carved quite a reputation for themselves playing songs by The Who, Stereophonics, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Faces and many more to a very loyal following. The band finally went their separate ways in 2007 and some members went on to play with local bands Sixteen Stone Pig and Straight Shooter but Smokin' never quite felt as though it was over.

So for the first time in years, the 2001 line-up of Mike, Mark, Derek, Simon and Phil decided to reunite for one final fling on the same stage and same night where it all happened 9 years ago...

Carnaby Street
Carnaby Street

Since forming in April 2005, Carnaby Street has become one of the most popular covers bands in the area. Playing music in a wide range of styles, from 60s pop and rock to 70s new wave and ska, the band members pride themselves on authentically reproducing the sound and feel of the original songs - whilst never losing sight of the fact that music is there to be enjoyed!

Recode
Recode

Recode began life late in 2008 when, having knowing each other for years James Creighton, Lukey-boi-Coare and Dan Creighton approached Steph Heath to join them on their new project. After a few months of writing together, they got there first acoustic gig in Frome and then played their first electric gig at BoxRocks 2009 and haven't been happier playing together. After a year of rave reviews, 2010 will see the band not only playing The Woolley 12, but also Melksham's Party in the Park, and a repeat performance at the BoxRocks festival.

Fat Freddy's Cat
Fat Freddy's Cat

Fat Freddy's Cat are a Devises based Rock/Blues outfit, covering songs from the fifties through to the noughties. The band has been together in various incarnations for over seven years, (giving them the auspicious title of "the longest established gigging band in Devises"!) and has played to many a festival crowd. A fine way to open the main stage at this year's event.
